Sector Commander, FederalRoad Safety Commission, Osun State, Mr Muhammad Husaini, on Tuesday said the commission had issued 1,324 drivers’ licenses in the state in November.
Husaini disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Osogbo.
He said the figure comprises that of new applicants and those upgraded to new ones.
He warned motorists not to patronise touts or middlemen in procuring licenses.
“Drivers’ license procured without bearer’s physical image and bio-data captured by the commission is not authentic,” Husaini said.
He said there were procedures to follow in procuring licenses and upgrading old ones and warned that anybody caught using fake license would be arrested.
Husaini said that using of fake licenses is an offense which contravenes FRSC law.
