An accident in Akwa Ibom has led to the death of a female corp member
She was trapped in a vehicle that was engulfed by fire.

Over-speeding is said to be the cause of the accident.
The accident in Akwa Ibom occurred at Mbiokporo Nsit in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area (LGA) of the state at about 3pm on Thursday, June 23.
Eye witnesses say the deceased who was dressed in her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform, was being driven in a Toyota Camry vehicle which caught fire.
The engulfed vehicle in which the female corp member died.
The driver of the vehicle and the commuter at the front sit reportedly escaped while the unknown female corps member was burnt beyond recognition.
Residents tried to salvage the situation to no avail, Daily Post reports.
In the same vein, about four persons were killed yesterday in a fatal accident in Kaduna state.
The accident occurred some meters before the Kaduna toll gate in the early hours of the evening.
All four occupants in the vehicle were said to be traveling from Abuja in a Honda Accord with registration number GWA 55CL.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver was on high speed and lost control when he maneuvered a pitch hole.
The driver was said to have rammed into a parked vehicle and a motorcycle (popularly known as okada).
Effort by passersby to salvage the situation yielded no result as the victims died on the spot.
Meanwhile, an accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, June 22, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, when a fuel tanker fell, thereby causing gridlock.

Daily Trust learnt that at least five people died in the ghastly motor accident, when an 18-seater commercial bus ran into an oncoming truck close to Yaba junction at Gada Biyu village, located along the Abuja-Lokoja highway in the late hours of Tuesday, June 21.
It was also gathered that nine occupants in the bus sustained various degrees of injuries , after they were saved by officials of the Abaji unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who later took them to the hospital in that area.
