Minister of Information and Culture,Lai Mohammed and his Transportation counterpart, Rotimi Amaechi on Monday escape being attacked by angry students, reports NewsDay.
The incident happened during the Federal Town Hall Meeting held at Le Meridian Hotel, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
The angry youths, who are mainly students went wild when their representative was allowed to speak.
Immediately the representatives of National Association of Nigerian Student (NAN), South-south zone was given the microphone, the students began chanting songs of solidarity.
They were demanding the execution of key projects in the South-south such as the Lagos-Calabar railway.
LindaiKeji reports that the youths almost disrupted proceedings at the venue.
It took the intervention of security operatives before the situation was brought under control.
Amaechi later pacified the angry student before they allowed proceedings to continue.
