People are making money off our grief - Chibok parents lament

Some parents of the missing Chibok girls have claimed that people are making money off of their anguish and grief.
According to a Punch report, the parents stated that they are still waiting on donations due to them while other people are benefiting off their sorrow.
"We only hear that something has been given and we have been waiting endlessly for it to get to us. Will it come today or the next day? This has always been the case, whereas the assistance may never get to us," group spokesperson Ladi Lawan Zannah said.
In addition, the grief-stricken group has also stated that they are still waiting on a N30 million donation from the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

Buhari had three weeks ago presented a cheque worth N55 million to the parents of the missing shoolgirls.
While the Vice-President's wife Dolapo Osinbajo collected the cheque, with N30 million having been set aside for the parents, the group claimed that they had not received a single portion of the money, YNaija reports.
Ayama Pogu, a retired Assistant Superintendent, complained about the sad state of affairs, claiming that the Chibok girls and their families have been shortchanged.
“Some people have been making money out of our grief. Never at anytime has any of these officials who have gone to meet with the government on our behalf, either come back to brief us or revealed to us the outcome of their meeting,” he said.
