The Fear of Buhari

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly said that looters have stopped keeping money in banks and resorted to storing cash in their abandoned homes as the war against corruption continues.
According to Punch, the acting chairperson of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, said people were now scared of keeping their money in the bank, as it could be traced easily.
"Monies are now kept in abandoned houses in the country," Magu was quoted as saying.
Magu said this during a workshop titled the "Role of Professionals in the Fight Against Corruption" in Abuja.
A report by Naij said during the same event, the EFCC boss also urged bureau de change operators and financial institutions to desist from collaborating with looters to launder money.
The anti-corruption war, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, has so far seen a number of public officials being investigated.
