The Federal House of Representatives has suspended its chairman of the Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, for 180 legislative days, banning him from holding positions of authority for the rest of the eighth Assembly.
At the reopening of the house last week, he was mandated to appear before the house committee on Ethics and Privileges but he failed to do so.
The House today unanimously suspended him for 180 sitting and also barred him from positions of authority in the House till the end of the 8th assembly.
