September is one month you don’t want to miss going to the cinemas for. Quite a number of interesting movies from Sully, Bridget Jones’s Baby, Blair Witch and Snowden have already made their premiere this month.
It’s however not over yet as it seems the best movies have been slated for release in the later part of this month.
The Magnificent Seven
The Magnificent Seven is an American western action film directed by Antoine Fuqua, and written by Nic Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk. It is a remake of the 1960 western film of the same name, which in turn was a remake of the 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai.
The movie is set in the 1870s, shortly after the Civil War and tells the story of the town of Rose Krick which is under the siege of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). The residents of the town enlist the help of seven outlaws, headed by bounty hunter Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), to protect them while they prepare for the anticipated violent confrontation.
When the outlaws meet with the town’s residents, they find themselves fighting for much more than money.The film also stars Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeierand Haley Bennet. The movie is expected to premier on the 23rd of September.
Storks
Storks is a Warner Bros. Computer animated adventure that has an interesting voice cast which includes Andy Samberg, Jennifer Aniston, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Kelsey Grammer, Ty Burrell, Danny Trejo, Stephen Kramer Glickman and Katie Crown. The movie is co-directed by Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland and is set in a world where storks no longer deliver babies, but rather packages for a global internet retail giant.
Junior (Andy Samberg), the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Junior and his friend Tulip (Katie Crown), the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop – in a wild and revealing journey before their boss Hunter (Kelsey Grammer) gets wise. The movie is scheduled to be released on the 23rd of September.
Deepwater Horizon
Deepwater Horizon is a Lionsgate/Summit drama that is scheduled to be released on the 30th of September. The movie is based on BP oil rig explosion which occurred on April 20, 2010 and caused the death of 11 crewmembers resulting in the largest offshore oil spill in the history of the United States of America. Deep Water Horizon is directed by Peter Berg has an ensemble cast which includes Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Dylan O’Brien, Gina Rodriguezand Kate Hudson.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a dark fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton and written by Jane Goldman, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs. Eva Green plays the titular headmistress, Miss Alma LeFay Peregrine, the strict but caring headmistress of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children with the ability to transform into a peregrine falcon. of the orphanage full of magical misfits.
The movie follows Jacob “Jake” Portman (Asa Butterfield), a 16-year old American teenager who is transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them. The other cast of the movie includes Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench, Chris O’Dowd andSamuel L. Jackson and will be released on the 30th of September.
