Nebojsa Denic and Milan Jovetic, known members of the Pink Panther Gang.
While it still is not clear who the armed men that robbed Kim Kardashian on Sunday night are, sources speculate that it could indeed be the handwork of a robbery cartel nicknamed ‘The Pink Panther Gang’.
This huge diamond ring was seen on Kim’s Instagram page just hours before the robbery occurred.
The criminal gang, founded in 1984, is said to currently have close to 200 members scattered around Europe and have stolen more than $360m worth of jewellery.
The Pink Panther Gang got its name in 2003 after London police arrested one of the members and found a diamond ring hidden in a jar of body cream – a replica of a scene in the movie Pink Panther.
One of the gang’s trademarks is the art of disguise. They have posed as golfers, tourists and policemen on their previous heists. They usually attack their victims while armed, but rarely do them any bodily harm.
Kim Kardashian was tied up but not stabbed or shot at. Nebojsa Denic and Milan Jovetic (both pictured above) were jailed in 2004 for being connected to a jewellery store robbery in London but are now both free and living in Europe.
According to the Daily Mail, one of the gang’s most daring robberies was at Wafi Mall, Dubai in 2007, when a few armed and masked men broke into a jewellery store and made away with $3m worth of diamonds in less than 180 seconds.
While there is no direct connection between the gang and Kim K’s robbery, authorities are said to be investigating this striking coincidence.
Kim Kardashian has since departed Paris and is now back home in the United States.
There has been no response to "Are these the people that robbed Kim Kardashian in Paris?"
