Celeb boobs through the years – you’ll be SHOCKED how much they’ve changed

Ladies are constantly under pressure to match up to beauty ideals – but new research shows the surprising way women’s figures have changed over the past six decades.
Nowadays women have fuller figures and bigger breasts than ever before, with bra sizes skyrocketing over time.
Our changing body shapes are reflected in the figures of some of the biggest stars from each era – from sixties starlet Jane Fonda to reality babe Kim Kardashian.
Using government statistics, researchers found the average bust size for each of the last six decades – and a famous face from each era with a chest of the same size.

The average woman in 1967 was a 34B – the same size as Jane Fonda, star of Barbarella, Barefoot in the Park and other hit films.
By the 1970s, bust sizes had gone up slightly to 34C due to improved health.
Singing legend Barbara Streisand boasts the same cup size – who is known for seventies songs such as A Star Is Born, The Way We Were and On A Clear Day You Can See Forever.
By the 1980s, and with breast enhancement surgery now in its infancy, the average woman had grown again and so had her bust size – up to 34D.

 
BRA SIZE: Emily Ratajkowski wears a 32C cup size

This is the same shape as screen beauty Daryl Hannah, who had the biggest hit of her career in 1984 with Splash.
Flash forward to the 1990s and women’s boobs have got bigger still.
During this time, cosmetic surgery was starting to enter a boom period thanks surgically-enhanced icons such as Pamela Anderson from Baywatch.
The average bust size for British women had gone up to 34DD, the same size as Halle Berry who had movie hits in this decade with The Flintstones and Bulworth.

 
BIGGER CHEST: Today the average woman has the same size boobs as Kim Kardashian

By the 2000s, women's bodies had evolved again due to better diet and fitness.
The growing problem of obesity and the average bust size was up to 36D – the same as Scarlett Johansson, who is known for starring in films such as Lost In Translation, Girl With A Pearl Earring and Match Point.
Further problems with obesity and the continued popularity of boob jobs have seen bra sizes grow again in the last decade to 36DD.
Few stars have busts which match the size of the current Miss Average, but one who does is the surgically-enhanced Kim Kardashian.
Meanwhile fellow modern day boob icon Emily Ratajkowski wears a 32C cup size – despite them looking much larger.
